About the owner

The Equitable Instruction Blueprint is led by Angela Staples Robertson. . Angela is the owner/ sole proprietor of the Equitable Instruction Blueprint. Her primary role has been providing professional learning opportunities for instructional leaders and teachers in equitable instruction for the most marginalized and economically disadvantaged students. In addition, Angela is a Senior Director of School Support at The Achievement Network, with over 20  years of experience in education. She has a strong track record of coaching effectiveness and satisfaction with both leaders and teachers in Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, Oklahoma, Michigan, Mississippi, and Illinois. 

Prior to ANet, Angela taught Math, Science, Social Studies, Humanities, and Language Arts in grades 1-8. Angela served as a department lead, worked as a No-Nonsense Nurture Coach, and as a fellow in the State Collaborative for Reforming Education, SCORE, advocating for equitable outcomes for students in TN. She served as a Memphis Teach Plus Fellow and was an active participant in the Teacher Effectiveness Initiative Grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for Memphis City Schools. She served as TNCore Math Coach , an Item Reviewer, Writing Assessment Scorer, and US history Rangefinder and Item Reviewer for the State of TN. She thrives in mediating the technical and adaptive challenges associated with strengthening school leadership teams, and supporting her internal team at ANet and EIB.
